The North West Region stretches from Carlisle, on the Scottish borders, down through the Lake District and Lancashire to the City of Chester, the county town of Cheshire, which is the most southly point of the region in England. Only few miles away, just across the border, we also have three of our teams in the Principality of Wales. Our most easterly team, by about half a mile, is in New Mills and to the west we include the Isle of Man and Ballymena in Northern Ireland. Prior to the coming of 'campanological independance' for Scotland in 1996 the North West Region boasted teams from all parts of the United Kingdom.
